Where can I find the playtest materials?
Everything you need can be found in this Google Drive folder. Please read the Google Document that says “Read Me First” to get some basic information about what sizes the cards will be when they are printed.
What else do I need to play aside from the materials in the Google Drive folder?
- A 3 foot by 3 foot playing area
- Terrain and objects to populate the playing area (can either be fancy wargaming terrain or everyday household objects)
- At least 6 but preferably 10 dice of the following varieties: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12
- Access to a printer (to print cards and tokens)
- Figures to represent your team of characters and the enemy they’re fighting
- I plan to use figures from the Blokees Defender toyline, but you can use other figures or even just print tokens in the appropriate size.
- Tokens (or something like glass beads, coins, etc.) to represent in-game effects
- A tape measure or ruler (able to measure distance in inches)
What if I don’t have any figures to use as miniatures?
No problem! In the Google Drive linked above, one of the folders is labeled “Tokens.” You can print out images of the characters, use a 2″ hole punch, and put them in coin capsules.
Where can I offer feedback about the gameplay?
What are the next planned releases for the game?
Within the next few weeks, I’d like to offer two modules that can slot in to this encounter with Shockwave. One of them will involve caches of items around the battlefield that will allow the Player Characters to find additional equipment cards. Another will put additional Automated Opponent minion characters on the battlefield.
Anything else I should know?
Just remember that everything is subject to change, so just remember that cards and rules are likely to be updated as feedback continues to roll in. Enjoy!
