What brought you into the Transformers TCG?

Was playing MtG and heard that WotC was making a Transformers TCG. Transformers > MtG.

What was your favorite character or character line-up from the Wizards of the Coast era?

Metroplex. I loved the flexibility of the deck. I believe it is a true mid-range deck, as it can pivot from being 1-tall to 4-wide, and from swinging in constantly with Metro, to stalling with the drones until the time is right.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

Qualifying for the Energon Invitational. There were 2 EI qualification events in my city, and from what I’ve been told, only 2 total in my country. I won one of them, and my son won the other.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

New factions, new keywords and mechanics, and new ways to play old favourites, or that gave forgotten characters a second chance.

What is your favorite community-created card?

I’m going to cheat and name 2: Take The Shot and Lie In Wait. These two cards have reinvigorated things for so many classic decks that relied on double-iconed flips to be competitive after the movement most tournaments have had away from Peace Through Tyranny and Security Checkpoint.

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

I feel honoured and humbled at the same time. Will be great to see how the game and meta has changed in the time since the EI.

What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the Transformers TCG?

Playing a game with someone in person, and have them bring out some cards I tested or designed. I think that would be wonderful.

What brought you into the Transformers TCG?

In short, my dad, Ozzy, brought me into the game with him in wave 1, both of us like playing card games and watching Transformers, so it was no surprise that we both enjoyed the game.

What was your favorite character or character line-up from the Wizards of the Coast era?

Predacons/Predaking, because of the insanely high attack values you could get out of 5 weapons.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

Likely my all time favourite and the one I’ll remember the most is the play that got me a ticket to the Energon Invitational. In the last game of the final match, we were both on 1 win and had only Skrapnel left alive, my opponent’s Skrapnel was at least 2 hits away and mine was only 1, I play Cornered! on his Skrapnel and Grenade Launcher mine to swing for the win.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

I saw them on Facebook and they looked fun to mess around with, I immediately started brewing with the cards I thought I could make work that likely weren’t meta, I particularly wanted to see how far you could get with ‘Crack Back’ from Ark wave 1, and the stratagems for characters I always played but never felt quite good enough.

What is your favorite community-created card?

Probably my favourite community card would be Crack Back from the ark, because it’s the only card I’ve found from the sets that has what I call ‘no ceiling’, I really enjoy making cards with no limit do insane things.

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

I feel lucky and somewhat undeserving because I didn’t participate all that much in Encounter 1 (one of the early events of the season), since it’s a little difficult for me because of schooltime, but I’m grateful to be in it and for the opportunity to play.

What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the Transformers TCG?

I’m most looking forward to playing and creating new cards within the community and coming up with increasingly more absurd and janky builds with all the cards

What brought you into the Transformers TCG?

I had been playing the Pokemon TCG for years but was unhappy with where it was going so I was looking for a new card game to play. I had tried Yu-gi-oh and Magic but neither of those stuck. Then, one fateful winter day, I saw the Metroplex theme box at one of my local Targets. The art on the card and the sheer size of it captivated me so much that I decided to get it and 3 packs of Wave 1. When I pulled Cosmos from my first pack, I was hooked. I devoted all of my time and energy to learning the game and found there was a local league of people already dedicated to playing it. The rest is history.

What was your favorite character or character line-up from the Wizards of the Coast era?

Cosmos because he was the first character I ever pulled and unique playstyle is something that is incredibly appealing to me.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

I remember the tournament where I won my invitation to the Energon Invitational. I had been perfecting my Blaster deck for months at that point and to finally see the Boombox Boi come through was truly magical.

Sidenote: I ended up playing in the next invitational tourney after that and accidentally won that one too with a troll W1 Kup deck lol.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

I didn’t like the original online community that I was a part of for a while and still wanted to play the game just in a more healthy enviornment. Bayformers provided that.

What is your favorite community-created card?

Angolmois Surge because it gave melee characters a reason to be played.

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

I am really excited to see how this one is going to play out considering all of the hype and build up across the season to this moment. I think there is going to be a large variety of decks after seeing the results of the past few encounters and other side events, which is really refreshing. I look forward to playing in this one and all of the future ones across the many seasons of Bayformers.

What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the Transformers TCG?

I really am excited to see the different characters from across the Transformers lore and learn and hear about some of these characters that I haven’t even heard of before. With Waste|Lands dropping soon and Junkions making their debut into the game, I can’t wait to see what else Bayformers has in store for us!

Champion

What brought you into the Transformers TCG?

Something I was hoping my brother and I can play together. He never got into it and I got hooked lol.

What was your favorite character or character line-up from the Wizards of the Coast era?

Grimlock. Cause he’s a beast.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

Definitely the going to the Energon Invitational in Philadelphia, and the PPG championship in Tampa.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

Loved the game and still getting to play with new cards after the game ended.

What is your favorite community-created card?

Can’t say. Yet to be released, but looking forward to building decks with it.

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

Super excited for this event. Marks the end of a great season, and I’m looking forward to all decks players will bring.
