What brought you into the Transformers TCG?

I hadn’t long moved house to a new city so looking for a new gaming club, took some MTG decks with me and looking for some table top wargames as well. Few of the club members were playing TFTCG, I saw the game play and liked the mechanics so dived in head first and started playing in tournaments a month later.

What was your favorite character or character line-up from the Wizards of the Coast era?

Raider Chop Shop, the repair mechanic can make any build a longer lasting threat.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

My favourite moments in all competitive games, be it Bolt Action, Games Workshop, Napoleonoics, MTG TF (or many others) is when the game is very close all the way through and can go either way while having a really good laugh with my opponent.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

Saw them on Facebook then started playing with the Ark, spent time playing in ATP and then got in with TROP.

What is your favorite community-created card?

The Ark’s Tri-plating. I love playing blue decks but always difficult against aggro orange pierce builds, tri-plating helps with the survivability.

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

I treat every tournament I attend as an honour and a privilege.

What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the Transformers TCG?

The future of TFTCG….more people, building the game up to hopefully the point that WotC pick the game up again and do a relaunch while showing appreciation by officially releasing the Ark, Bayformers and TROP cards.

Optimus Prime Battlefield Legend – the OG and pseudo-father figure to millions since 1984.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

My favorite moments have been close matches I’ve won, the Bayformers events have been great.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

The community, everyone is kind and cares about doing the right thing.

What is your favorite community-created card?

I really like Take the Shot, its a well-balanced replacement for a very unbalanced card. I also really like Megatron/Ratchet, my favorite reference to the source material so far!

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

I feel honored to be chosen to participate in the Invitational

What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the Transformers TCG?

What brought you into the Transformers TCG?

I say as much on teletraan1.net, but it was Vangelus & Aaron. I’ve been a life-long Transformers fan, and was planning on just picking up some packs for their art. I hadn’t played a card game since I quit Magic back when Ice Age came out, so I was just going to collect the cards and have myself a nice pretty binder of them. It was Vangelus & Aaron’s enthusiasm for the game that made me want to play it.

What was your favorite character or character line-up from the Wizards of the Coast era?

Sky Shadow, no question. Putting aside its strengths or where it stood in the meta, it was such a fun combination of so many systems. It’s a combiner, has a Titan Master head, and its own unique stratagem. Sky Shadow is a culmination of the wacky stuff that WotC was willing to do with this game, all while being a relatively unknown Japanese character.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

I was tempted to say the Energon Invitational, but really it was the local tournament we had a couple months after the EI. We managed to have about 16 people show up, including our “sister group” who had to drive about two hours to join us. I think four of us had been at EI, and this was our first time seeing each other since. It was also the first big TFTCG meetup we’d had since I got married; my wife doesn’t play but would join most of our gatherings. I don’t remember who won what games but it was a fun time, and sadly the last time we all got together. COVID hit, game got canceled, and our local meetups ended. Wonderful memories though.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

The Quintessons. At the time there were so many people and groups announcing their new cards, they all felt very “samey” and unpolished. Then I saw the Quintessons integrating the green battle icon, their decision-making abilities, it felt like a natural evolution for a Transformers card game. The card art was fresh, and I could see the desire to make them look & feel like WotC cards. It didn’t matter to me how well Quintessons did or didn’t play, they were unique and fit great in the game’s narrative. Gimmicky in all the best ways, like the combiners.

What is your favorite community-created card?

I’m going to cheat and give three answers. The first is TROP’s Megatron/Ratchet, just because it’s such a weird pull for a character and a perfect idea for a monster themed set. The other two are Lie In Wait & Take The Shot. Pretty much everyone who plays agrees on banning Peace Through Tyranny & Security Checkpoint. These two act as a good introduction to Rolling Actions, and also make two of the most expensive “required” battle cards in the game completely unnecessary for new players to pick up.

How do you feel about being chosen to participate in the Omega Invitational?

I know I’m only here because Travis couldn’t play, and I of course wish him a speedy recovery. hides the crowbar With that said, I’m excited to play and looking forward to the games!

What are you looking forward to the most in the future of the Transformers TCG?

It’s a bit vague, but I have ideas for Teletraan’s future that I think will be lots of fun for everyone.

If you’re not already using Teletraan, you should be.

Lord Megatron. Megatron is my favorite character and has been since I was little.

Which moments in competitive Transformers TCG were your favorites?

Probably one of my favorite moments is pulling off a double OA in a tournament to win.

What drew you to play with cards made by Team Bayformers and affiliated Allied Crossplay groups?

They help keep the game going and they make everyone feel like a part of the TCG world not someone who gets to use there cards.

Clench. I like to use tanks so the more tanks the better and he has a different ability that is universal.
